March 2023

“I can’t recommend Rebecca North highly enough, having had shoulder pain for almost three years and having spent lots of time (and money) trying other treatments after seeing Rebecca it’s finally on the mend and the best it’s been in a long time – no more pain.

Rebecca is very thorough and knowledgable really taking the time to understand my problem and not only treating me in the clinic but also giving we some extra exercises and stretches to do at home to help my recovery.

If you are wondering whether to book an appointment my advice would be do it as I had almost given up hope of having a pain free shoulder.”

July 2023

“Rebecca was friendly and welcoming and made me feel very relaxed from the start. Pleasant environment. The prior assessment and subsequent massage were thorough, well-explained beforehand and carried out professionally and effectively, with concern for my physical and psychological welfare throughout. My pain was definitely improved by the massage. Afterwards Rebecca gave me some exercises to do at home and explained recommended next steps. Highly recommended!”

Treatments

Soft Tissue Therapy

soft tissue therapy Swindon

Soft tissue therapy is focused on a specific ache, pain or injury that you are living with. We will spend time understanding your symptoms, how it is affecting you, what you hope to achieve, and complete postural and joint assessments to create a unique treatment tailored to your specific needs. I may provide you with rehabilitation advice to further manage and improve your symptoms at home. My aim is for you not to rely on me but just to be that helping hand to helping you progress towards your goals.

Treatment may involve massage, stretching and mobilisation techniques along with rehabilitation advice.

Sports Massage

soft tissue therapy Swindon

The stresses of everyday life and exercise can leave us feeling sore and achy. Sports massage is a great way to ease pain and muscle soreness, improve recovery, reduce stress and encourage relaxation. Please don’t be fooled by the name, sports massage can benefit many people, not just those who are into sports!

Treatment will incorporate massage, mobilisation and stretching.

Dry Cupping

Involves plastic cups being placed on the skin and the air removed using a vacuum. It lifts the skin, muscles, and connective tissue into the cup, allowing us to achieve a stretch of the soft tissues. This is not offered as a standalone treatment but will be suggested as part of sessions if I see clinical benefit in doing so. If you’d like the cups to be used during your session, please let me know in advance.
